SOUL ACTIVATION Workshop: Sound Healing & Journeying With David Young @ Jivamukti Yoga NYC
Sep 30 @ 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm

EVERYONE WILL HAVE AN EXPERIENCE- either with an Ascended Master, an Arch Angel, a past life experience, an out of body experience in the inner light, or you will have some other experience special for you…

David Young is a twice Grammy Nominated musician who plays two renaissance flutes at one time in harmony. He has recorded 57 albums and sold over 1,000,000 copies. He is a healer, channel, writer of three books, artist and it is said that more people have had out of body experiences while listening to his music than other musician alive today.

Link to 1:00 event video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HdL6Zk5FgUY

Whether people have been meditating a short time or for thirty years, attendees consistantly say they’ve had the most profound, spiritual experience of their entire life.

Marie Diamond, Fung Shui Master and speaker in the movie, “The Secret” came on stage after one of David’s performances and told the audience she just had “the most profound spiritual experience of her life.”

Barbara Hardie, writer of the book, “Creating Heaven on Earth”, well respected medium and angel channel from MA. who has been meditating for 25 years had a healing at her first event and shared that she had “the most high vibrational, spiritual experience of her life” at her second event. She has been to four events now and each one brought her to a higher level than she ever thought possible.

David has done over 100 Soul Activation workshops this year, traveling to three or four cities each week.

For the past two months, AT EVERY EVENT, people have consistently shared their experiences with either Buddha, Jesus, Lao Tzu, Quan Yin, or Mother Mary.

David’s wife Dawn has had nine experiences with Kali, the Goddess seen with six arms. Others have had experiences with Edgar Cayce, Gandhi, George Harrison, John Lennon, Ravi Shankar, and the Egyptian Goddess Isis. Although each experience is unique, many share that these great teachers have told them we are all One and we are equal and there is no need for the pedestals that mankind has put them on.

Three people at one event saw Jesus standing in the exact same place in the room and he gave each of them the same inner symbols.

Two women sitting next to each other at one event both described experiencing Quan Yin standing between them.

On separate evenings two people had the exact same experience with Buddha who brought them to this gigantic tree (The Tree of Life) that was so tremendous it was beyond their description of words.

At every one of these events at least ten people have shared reconnecting with their loved ones in Spirit.

A shy, introverted woman came to an event and shared that her entire family in Heaven lined up to greet her, over 20 souls.

Violetta, who has cancer has been visited six times by Jesus, George Harrison and John Lennon at events as they are helping her to heal. After living with 10 out of 10 horrible pain from her treatments the week before the last event she was pain free for 48 hours afterwards.

A woman with a son with Down Syndrome had a Soul to Soul experience where he was syndrome free on the inner and he explained why he had that disease in his current life.

David was given nine words to give to a woman, “I am Strong, I am Protected, I am Confident.” Afterwards she shared that Arch Angel Michael had come to her the previous week and gave her the same nine words and told her to write them down.

It is a privilege and sheer pleasure for David to share his music and this energy with the New York City and Jivamukti Yoga community.

ROOTED in PEACE – Film Screening/Nat’l Conversation Around Peace @ Laemmle Claremont 5 Theatre
Sep 19 all-day

In celebration of the upcoming International Day of Peace, September 21st, we are hosting Greg Reitman’s ROOTED in PEACE – a globally transformative, socially-conscious, environmentally-based film. Reitman’s journey of self-analysis resonates with audiences seeking inner peace in a world full of people dominated by war, affected by global warming or haunted by inner conflict. The film follows him as he speaks to thought leaders around the world having conversations around sustainable development, discussing the challenges of our never-ending wars, and facing the realities of uncertainty placed on the world’s institutions by our current political climate. Reitman’s introspective and socially relevant documentary was most recently screened at the United Nations.

From the US to Costa Rica to India, award-winning filmmaker and environmental activist Greg Reitman traveled to visit such luminaries and activists as Deepak Chopra, music legends Donovan, Mike Love and Pete Seeger, film director David Lynch, Nobel Peace Laureate Mairead Maguire, Ted Turner, Archbishop Desmond Tutu and many others. Their common ideas and examples make ROOTED in PEACE an unexpectedly inspirational viewing experience magnified by a stellar soundtrack opening with Pink Floyd’s ‘Time’ and closing with John Lennon’s ‘Love.’

Jul 7 @ 6:45 pm – 8:00 pm
ROB DUNCAN LIVE with his Funkin Soul Band- Charity Concert. Let's help re-unite Children who have been separated from their families @ Rockwood Music Hall 3

A great soul /funk concert. Come and be uplifted by great music and let’s raise as much money as possible to help re-unite children who have been separated from their families at the U.S. border. Tickets are $10. Please click on the link below to buy tickets, bring friends! You may make an extra donation on the night if you so wish. All proceeds will go to this great cause. Rob Duncan has played music all over the world, is a father of 3 and writes music about his experience of being human, man and father.

Here’s what he says about his music and this concert:
My music draws from my life experience; spiritually, soulfully, intellectually, and emotionally. All of my songs represent my musical influences like soul music, blues, jazz, and rock. Deeply soulful, funky, melancholy music with ultimately a message of hope. That’s how I write my music. That’s how I sing my music. I lay my heart on the table and reach you in places that you feel.

I have decided to donate the cover charge from my upcoming show at Rockwood Music Hall 3 to RAICES. RAICES primarily provides two very very important things.
It provides lawyers for the children who have been torn from their parents by ICES, and it pays the Immigration Bond which releases the parent from detention allowing their children to rejoin them. This is where your $10 cover charge for my upcoming show will go. If you wish to donate extra you may do so on the night of the show.

Connect for Peace 2018 @ Foley Square Park
Sep 20 @ 4:30 pm – 7:30 pm

Connect for Peace 2018 @ Foley Square

Connect for Peace is a public street happening for peace in honor of the International Day of Peace. We invite participants and passersby to connect with one another in a spirit of openness, spontaneity, and childlike innocence. A cross between performance art and a peace rally, these powerful events have touched the lives of people from around the globe.

We take a moment to connect for peace. We take a moment to really see the person in front of us. We say, “I see you” and are genuinely seen in return. The bungee cords physicalize the invisible connections between all people. As we realize how interconnected we are, peace is a natural outcome.

Amazing things happen at every Connect for Peace event. It touches something deep. Passersby stop to share intimate details of their lives. Strangers are moved to extraordinary acts of kindness. The premise is simple but the results are incredibly powerful.

From Peace Accelerators Description: It is our dream (and hopefully it will become your dream as well) that over the next decade we begin to celebrate the International Day of Peace (September 21st) more and more each year, until over time it becomes the first holiday that the entire world celebrates.

It is not religious and it is not about any made-up country — it is about all of us seeing the commonality between each other, realizing we’re on one Earth (and in many ways this place needs us to adapt to her quite quickly at this crucial point in history).

This Thursday we are holding a large beautiful inspiring event for the International Day of Peace. There will be community leaders, speakers, musicians, meditation, yoga, dj’s and much more.

This will be one evening you will not want to miss.

It will be the largest celebration for the International Day of Peace in NYC, the heartbeat city of our one planet.

Let’s show the world what we want.

FREE Yoga Cosmic Love Breath for Peace Day @ 30-Day Cosmic Love Experience
Sep 21 @ 10:00 am – 10:45 am
FREE Yoga Cosmic Love Breath for Peace Day @ 30-Day Cosmic Love Experience

Raising Consciousness is the Path to Peace! Yoga is one life path to peace. Yoga is described as a Union of Mind, Body, Spirit..
Yoga Cosmic Breath brings in the Heart.
This Ancient practice is part energy tool/part meditation/ part pranayama. It is a link to Higher Love and Higher Consciousness.

Each night is a new experience, however the foundation follows this sequence
Rhythmic Breathing, Reiki, Neck and Shoulder Stretches, Closing with the main event the Yoga Cosmic ‘Love’ Breath

Humanity has done the work to raise the vibration enough to be able to be emass as a container and anchor of this energy to the new earth.

This practice was offered first for the month of Sept in 2009 and now again in 2018
To serve others as a way to the higher heart resonance, which elevates us into different dimensions and Cosmic Consciousness.

Research has shown that the magnetic field of the heart is 5,000 times more powerful than the mind.

The way to living in the higher dimensions is through the heart portal which leads to unconditional love and a greater connection to the Divine, to yourself, to others and to nature.

The Cosmos ARE are here to help humanity.
It’s about a being in alignment with a cosmic heart connection of a different heartbeat, a heartbeat attuned to Cosmic Love through activations and being in rhythm with the Universe.

WE are stronger together is true!

How do you make an impact when you are working alone? Sloooowly.
Let us quicken as One.

It is a simple solution, we have done the heavy lifting, now we are in the labor pains and a smart mother- to-Be will learn how to breathe to ease the pain.
It only makes sense to do this as well, while we are in this process of birthing a new earth, does it not?
Our work now only requires us to BREATHE in a new way, and connect to our hearts.
This is about something greater than ourselves!
To Be, Midwives for the New Earth whether you are a woman or a man.

You will discover the more of us that do the inner work consistently, of raising our vibration and releasing density, we will be pulled towards the 5th World.
This is not a might be, this is a pathway.
I’m here to be a wayshower and a bridge.
This will fill the body with cosmic energy, assisting you to hold more light and love and to be the anchor And container.

Blessings,
Margarit

Peace Month is particularly significant this year as we honor the 20th Anniversary of The UN Declaration and Programme of Action on a Culture of Peace, which is September 13th: A/RES/53/243 B Adopted by the United Nations in 1999, The Declaration and Programme of Action serves as a reminder of the importance of making Peace Day every day. The theme for the 20th Anniversary Observance is: “Empowering and Transforming Humanity.” And, we know that you are committed to doing that every day!

GLOBAL WEEK OF ACTION on Peace, the Climate, SDGs and Nuclear Abolition @ Global
Sep 21 – Sep 27 all-day

Global week of action on Peace, the Climate, SDGs and Nuclear Abolition

September 21 – September 27

The week of Sep 21-27 includes the following key events:

Together these dates comprise a Global week of action on peace, climate, SDGs and nuclear abolition.

Flyers on the Global Week: Taking action together

Abolition 2000 has established a working group to build cooperation between climate, SDG, peace and disarmament organisations to take action during the week. For more information see the Abolition 2000 flyer on the Global Week for Peace, the Climate, SDGs and Nuclear Abolition Sep 21-27.

Abolition 2000 is cooperating with Action for Sustainable Development (A4SD), Forus, Asia Development Alliance (ADA), the Korea International Cooperation Agencyand other sustainable develpoment organisations on Stand Together Now for a Just and Peaceful World: Seven Days to Save our Planet. See Stand Together for peace and sustainability Global Week of Action Sep 20-27 poster.

Connections between peace, climate protection, SDGs and disarmament

UN Charter (Article 26) recognises the connection between disarmament and sustainable development. Article 26 requires the UN to facilitate disarmament ‘in order to promote the establishment and maintenance of international peace and security with the least diversion for armaments of the world’s human and economic resources.’

More recently the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development recognizes that there can be no sustainable development without peace, and no peace without sustainable development. In addition, Securing our Common Future: An Agenda for Disarmament, the disarmament agenda released in 2018 by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, outlines the links between disarmament and many of the SDGs.

Key events and actions:

Sep 21: International Day for Peace

  • UN event: International Day of Peace Student Observance, United Nations, 20 September 2019. Watch it on webtv.un.org
  • Peace One Day event in London: with civil society leaders and celebrities that will be live-streamed globally.
  • List your event at Peace One Day, a global platform to share, find out about or join actions for Peace Day.

For further information see the UN website on International Day for Peace. Share your ideas and activities through #PeaceDay and #ClimateAction.

 Sep 23: UN Climate Summit

Action: Call on your government to commit in New York to deeper reductions in carbon emissions, a faster transition from fossil fuels to renewable energies, and reductions in military budgets in order to fund climate protection.

Sep 24-25: Summit on Sustainable Development

Action: Call on your government to highlight at the SDG Summit the importance of peace and demilitarisation in achieving the SDGs, and support the proposal of Kazakhstan that all countries redirect 1% of their military budget to the SDGs.

Sep 26: International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons

Actions:
a) Encourage your Prime Minister/President to attend the Sep 26 UN High-Level Meeting on Nuclear Disarmament and call on all States to never launch a nuclear war, and to negotiate for the abolition and elimination of nuclear weapons;
b) Organise a screening of ‘The Man who saved the World’ or other action for Nuclear Abolition Day.

Climate Action Summit 2019

The Secretary-General will convene a Climate Action Summit in September 2019 to bring climate action to the top of the international agenda. Mr. Luis Alfonso de Alba, a former Mexican diplomat, will be his Special Envoy to lead its preparations.

The Summit will focus on the heart of the problem – the sectors that create the most emissions and the areas where building resilience could make the biggest difference – as well as provide leaders and partners the opportunity to demonstrate real climate action and showcase their ambition.

To read about the commitments that regions, cities, businesses, investors and civil society pledged during the Global Climate Action Summit in California, September 2018, click here.

“We hear Mother Earth’s call to simultaneously become more heart centered and action oriented.  Feeling Mother Earth’s sacredness in our hearts can be profound motivation to act on Her behalf.  Many actions are needed now, from calling legislators to attending rallies … art making, creative planning, spreading the word, writing letters to the editor … advocating for clean water, renewable energy … as well as social, racial, and economic justice issues that are inseparable from co-creating a sustainable, thriving world that works for all.  We believe these actions are most effective, and most beautiful, when they are inspired by and carried out with love and respect for this beautiful planet, all who reside here, and whatever divine energies are loving us and encouraging us through this Great Turning.  This feeling of connection, love, and inspiration is what we seek to create through Planet Heart’s Annual World Peace Earth Day.  Please join us, be inspired, keep your heart open, and channel that love into action. ”

STRIKE – Earth Day and Youth Climate Strikes – April 22

On the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, we will demonstrate our collective power and unity through community building and storytelling. This first day will focus on amplifying the voice of indigenous leaders and youth climate activists who are leading the movement to halt the climate crisis

DIVEST – Divestment and Climate Financing – April 23

Led by Stop the Money Pipeline Coalition, during this day of action we are calling for a global reset. We want to reprogram the economy so that it works for people and the planet, not polluters and politicians.

VOTE – Voter Registration and Political Engagement – April 24

We need leaders who will address this existential threat. It’s critical for all of us to show up at the polls this year and vote for our future. So the final day will focus on the importance of voting through a nationwide youth voter registration day.

The US Climate Strike Coalition and Stop The Money Pipeline Coalition, who together are made up of over 500 organizations, have come together to organize Earth Day Live.

The US Climate Strike Coalition is a coalition of over 400 organizations that formed ahead of the September 20, 2019 climate strikes. Led by the leading youth-led climate organizations in the US, the coalition works intergenerationally and collaboratively to coordinate the Climate Strikes in the US.

Stop the Money Pipeline is a coalition of over 100 climate, environmental and Indigneous rights groups that is demanding that the financial sector stops funding the fossil fuel industry and deforestation, and starts respecting Indigenous sovereignty and human rights.

As the Coronavirus has ravaged the Indigenous communities and threatened to inflict severe health casualties in Navajoland and many other Indigenous Nations, the Indigenous Ministries of the Episcopal Church has partnered with the Episcopal Diocese of Northern Michigan and scores of many Episcopal communities to raise money for food, basic need items, water, and medical supplies to aid our Indigenous communities across the Episcopal Church.

In addition to the performances, we ask our friends to share a 15 to 30-second message of hope and support to our Indigenous communities with the hashtag #indigi-aid. You can message us your support short support video.
